The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #492

Hi Friends!  I'm posting today for the latest sketch challenge over at The Paper Players

I went clean and simple with this one and used a 'rectangle' Thanks sentiment from Concord & 9th for the focal point.

I die cut the sentiment from an alcohol ink rainbow background that I made a while ago.  The white heat embossed sentiment is from Impress.  I scattered a few SU glitter enamel dots to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by ~ Have a great weekend!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #066

Hi Friends!  I'm happy to be back again as a guest designer over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and so excited about this week's board...check it out!

I decided to go with the middle row across:  Nature (butterfly), Circle, and Twine.

Starting with a Neenah Solar White card base, I stamped some watercolor stripes using MFT's Jumbo Abstract Art stamps and Catherine Pooler inks.  I added some black dashed lines with a stamp from Concord & 9th's Brushed Stripe background stamp.  The Brilliant Butterfly and sentiment from MFT was stamped and die cut with PTI's Deckled Circle die.  The black twine was added to the back of the deckled circle and popped up over a regular circle die cut (Hero Arts).  A little bit of black bling finished off the card.

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #065

Hi Friends!  I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! Today was a rainy one for me so I put together a card for the latest challenge over at Tic Tac Toe:

I played along with the third row across:  Wood, Gray, and Emboss

The background layer is MFT Gravel Gray cardstock that I embossed with Stampin' Up's Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  I dragged some white pigment ink across the woodgrain for a bit of a weathered look.  I die cut the Big Thanks die (Concord & 9th) on white cardstock that also has a woodgrain texture from Ellen Hutson.  The MFT flowers and Stampin' Up Honey Bee were popped up to finish off the card.   That 3D embossing folder is one of my faves ~ I love the way it looks like real planks!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Card Concept #135 {Red, White & Blue}

Hi Friends! The latest challenge over at The Card Concept has a great photo for inspiration for a Red, White & Blue theme:

I was inspired to use the supplies I already had on my desk to create this card and just switched up the ink colors to red, white & blue and included silver for the galvanized pots.  My clean and simple one layer card for a patriotic celebration is below:

One thing about this stay at home adventure is that I have pulled things out of my stash that I haven't used in a long time or maybe never used (oops).  The Wreath Turnabout from Concord & 9th was one of the latter and I had fun playing with it.  I used Catherine Pooler's Rockin' Red and Suede Shoes ink, plus Hero Arts' Unicorn ink (white heat embossed), and very old PKGlitz glittery Silver EP Max (heat embossed) for the fourth color.  The sentiment is from Concord & 9th's Little Thoughts dies. I finished the card off with silver confetti sequins from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by ~ Have a great weekend!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #064

Hello Friends!  Today I'm playing along using the new board from Joanne over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I needed a couple of Father's Day cards so I went with the middle row across: Twine, Patterned Paper, Masculine.

Starting with a Stampin' Up Night of Navy card base, I layered on some gorgeous swirled rose gold DSP from SU's Everything is Rosy.  I die cut a corrugated navy circle and a rose gold #1 Dad die cut (from Die-Versions) and layered them over a nest of metallic twine from May Arts. This is one shiny card!

Thanks for stopping by ~ have a great weekend!

Annie

Seize the Birthday #190 - Monochromatic

Hi Friends! Seize the Birthday this week has a fun topping:

A fun challenge for me because I rarely make monochromatic cards.

I was going for a masculine nature birthday card using greens as my monochromatic color.  The Rubbernecker background stamp called Fern Shadows was inked up with SU's Pear Pizzazz.  The card base and die cut fern (Spellbinder) used Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  I added a piece of vellum, the fern die cut, and popped up the sentiment from MFT's Label Maker Sentiment stamp set.  A bit of May Arts' twine finished off the card.  The deckled die cut rectangles are from Honey Bee's deckled die set.

Thanks for visiting!

Annie

The Paper Players #490: Claire's Color Challenge

Hello!  The latest challenge from The Paper Players is a colorful one!

I used Concord & 9th's Wreath Turnabout stamp set and Stampin' Up inks for this card.  I added sparkly gold embossing for a neutral to fill in the wreath and added Glossy Accents to the berries.  The wreath layer and inside layer were die cut with Mama Elephant's Creative Cuts and added to the Melon Mambo card base.  I popped up the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to finish off the card.  Happy colors make for a happy card!

Thanks for stopping by ~ hope you're having a good week!

Shopping Our Stash #419: Happy Mother's Day

Hi Friends! Shopping our Stash is celebrating Mother's Day for their current challenge.

I wish my Mom was here to celebrate.  When asked what she wanted for Mother's Day, she always said, "I just want to see my kids."  I know exactly what she meant now, especially since some of us will be video chatting this Mother's Day.  I made this card for my DIL who is a fantastic Mom to my super duper DGS:

I went with the dandelion 'make a wish' theme since I wish we could get together for our annual brunch this year.  A pretty simple card that includes a couple of dandelion die cuts from Tim Holtz' Wildflowers dies and some new fab DSP from Lawn Fawn called "Dandy Day."

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #063

Hey there! I'm very excited today because I've been asked to be a Guest Designer over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  I think this challenge is so much fun because there are so many different ways to go with their creative boards.  Check out this week's board:

I went with the first row down for my card: Rainbow, Purple, and Coffee. Why...because I LOVE COFFEE!

I die cut the coffee cup three times - twice out of white cardstock and once from MFT's Over the Rainbow DSP - and layered them together.  The purple DSP strip is from the same paper pack.  I added steam to the cup and highlighted the steam with Gelly's Clear Star glitter pen.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Sassy Coffee stamp set - one of my faves for coffee cards.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you'll play along!  Special thanks to the DT for letting me join in the fun this week :)

Hugs,
Annie

Yappy Mother's Day

Hi Friends!  Today I'm posting a card I put together for a dear friend of mine.  I usually always make her a Mother's Day card even though she has no children.  She does, however, have a fur baby that she loves dearly and is a wonderful 'Mom' to her girl, Nikki.

This card used the cute pup stamps and dies from Rubbernecker simply called 'Dogs.'  The sentiment makes me smile.  I colored the pup with pencils and added the sentiment and pup to a MFT Stitched Arch die cut.  The DSP was a scrap from my stash.  I finished the card off with red twine, Glossy Accents on the nose and an enamel heart tag for the collar.  The inside sentiment, that I created on the computer, says "Yappy Mother's Day!"

I'm going to play along over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #062 using the middle row down: Die Cut, Twine, and Animals.

And also link up to the new Paper Players Challenge #489 where the Theme is "Make You Smile" because pups always make me smile!

Thanks for stopping by ~ Have a good week!

Annie
