Seize the Birthday #208

Hi Friends! Here's a card to play along with Seize the Birthday's latest challenge.  The topping is to "Create a Scene""

I was totally inspired by the great DT cards, especially Cathy and Glenda's gorgeous ocean scenes.  I decided to pull out one of my favorite fish stamp sets from MFT called "Adorned Ocean Friends" and create an underwater scene with various other foliage stamps and SU DSP.  The sentiment is from an old Simon Says stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Paper Players #529: A CAS Challenge from LeAnne

Hi Friends! I'm playing along over at The Paper Players where LeAnne has a CAS Challenge for us featuring felines:

Now, I'm not a cat person.  Not because I don't want to be but that is one allergy that I never outgrew.  Needless to say, I have a ton of dog stamps but only 2 stamps featuring cats!  I chose the one stamp that wouldn't start me sneezing:

My kitty coffee cup came from Catherine Pooler and the sentiment from My Favorite Things.  I used a coffee bean embossing folder on the top 2/3 of the card and stenciled little rays of sunshine around the cup. I used Stampin' Up Blends to color the hypoallergenic cat :)

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you're having a good week!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players Challenge #528: Jaydee's Color Challenge

Hi Friends! I'm just in time to play along over at The Paper Players before it closes...whew!  It's a color challenge from Jaydee with one of my favorite color combos:

I played along with pretty simple card using Red, Black & White and a touch of silver (in the ribbon):

I white heat embossed the "Chatterbox" background stamp from Catherine Pooler on black cardstock, layered it on red cardstock, and added a piece of silver/white ribbon.  The sentiment is from MFT, as is the little popped up heart speech bubble.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #101

Hi there! It's time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and we hope you'll play along!

My card is following the First Row on the diagonal: Cute Critter, Dots, and Hugs/Miss You.

I layered an embossed piece of SU Crumb Cake cardstock onto a piece of SU Real Red.  The embossing was from an older folder from We R Memory Keepers with big dots.  It was one of the first "3D" embossing folders.  The dots are big and bold but didn't photograph too well here so I added little dots to my cute critter's cheeks :) The bear is from the stamp set that came with the December Paper Pumpkin kit and I colored him with SU Blends.  He's holding a little die cut stitched heart from Memory Box.  The sentiment die is from Simon Says Stamp that I just had to have (given the name of my blog :), cut out of Real Red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by...come play with us!

Hugs,

Annie

Seize the Birthday #207

Hello Friends! I have a card today for the Seize the Birthday challenge:

The theme is always birthday but you can also play along with an extra topping.  The topping this time around is "Hearts." I still have all my Valentine/Love supplies out so I pulled my favorite balloons and dies from MFT:

I stenciled a bit of brick wall with SU Crumb Cake ink to help the heart balloons "pop" and added a fun sentiment from SSS.  I tied black embroidery cord onto the balloons, popped them up, and layered on SU Real Red cardstock.  The card base is SU Crumb Cake to coordinate with the brick wall.

Thanks for stopping and Happy Valentine's Day!

CASology #383: Envelope

Hi Friends! A CAS card today to play along over at CASology where the inspiration is "Envelope."

I've sent a lot of "paper hugs" to my family and friends over the past year so that was the starting point for my card:

I kept it very simple in black and white with a touch of red using a stamp from Simon Says Stamp called Paper Hug.  I popped up the stitched rectangle for a little interest and added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the heart.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day!

The Paper Players #527

Hi Friends!  Here's my second Valentine card to play along over at The Paper Players where the theme is Hearts and/or Stars:

I used a blended Distress Ink background from my stash that I gave a shot of Glitter Blast and then die cut with a Taylored Expressions cover plate.  I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the same die and used it as a template to place the blended, sparkly stars onto a Basic White card base.  The sentiment is an oldie but goodie from Hero Arts, white heat embossed on a scrap of black.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day!

Shopping Our Stash #438: Love is in the air!

Hi friends!  I'm playing along with a couple of challenges today with my Valentines.  The first one is Shopping Our Stash #438 where the theme is "Love is in the Air!"

For this card, I stenciled heart balloons (Waffle Flower) with Distress Oxide inks and drew strings on a few of them.  I added Nuvo Glitter drops in Sherbert Shimmer and an old rubber stamp sentiment from my stash by Savvy Stamps heat embossed on black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #099

Hi Friends!  It's time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

For my card, I went with the First Row Diagonal: Pink & Gray, Oval, and Splatters

I layered a piece of SU Whisper White cardstock, splattered with a bit of gray ink and blending, onto a Blushing Bride card base.  The horizontal strip was embossed with SU's Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  After stamping the foliage from Stampin' Up's Forever Fern stamp set with Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride ink, I used the coordinating dies and built my "bouquet." The sentiment is from Gina K. and die cut with MFT stitched ovals and popped up.  I added a few silver confetti sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off the card. I'm loving this color combo!

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll play along with us this week!

Hugs,
Annie
