Tic Tac Toe Challenge #119

Hello Friends! Here's the new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge...let's go to the beach!

I played along with the first row across: Beach, Stencil, and Yellow:

After stenciling a background with MFT's Window Panes stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Ink, I added my favorite seagulls from MFT's Seaside Seagulls.  The sentiment is an oldie but goodie from the Stamps of Life.  I live on the coast where there is a McDonald's just a couple of blocks off the beach and lots of seagulls circling for a french fry or two so the sentiment is very appropriate!

And some news...It's been a fun year being on the DT for one of my favorite challenges and I'm grateful for the opportunity to play along with such talented crafters.  It's time, however, for me to move on so this will be my last DT post for TTTC.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and I'm sure I'll see you out there in blogland!

Cheers,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #117

Hello Friends!  It's time for a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge and this one brings on the sunshine:

I played on the diagonal with Die Cut, Friend, and Yellow:

The watercolored floral image is Freshly Picked Bouquet from MFT.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  All are popped up onto an alcohol ink background on vellum and layered on a white card base.  A few SU Artistic Blooms finished off this card.

We hope you'll play along this week ~ thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #115

Hello Friends! Time for another fun board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

My card today uses the first row down: Dad/Father Image, Blue, and Die Cut.

On a Stampin' Up Misty Moonlight card base, I layered a grid embossed piece of Misty Moonlight before adding DSP from Stampin' Up's Plaid Tidings.  The amazing Hats Off stamp set and Hat Builder dies from Stampin' Up really make the hat look 3D!  I know I'll get a lot of use from this set for great guy cards.

We sure hope you'll play along with us this week!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look 😊.

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #113

Hello Friends!  Time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I struggled with this one a bit!  I finally worked with the First Row on the Diagonal: Rainbow, Stickers, and CAS.

I rarely use stickers nor do I have very many but the April Paper Pumpkin kit came to the rescue!  The sun and cute rainbow popsicle saved the day along with the sentiment that comes in the kit.  I drew a little whimsical frame around the card front for interest and done...easy peasey!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #111

Hello Friends! Time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

This time I worked with the Right Column Down:  Flowers, Dragonfly, and Scallops.

This is a pretty simple layered card that lets the die cuts do most (if not all) of the work!  Here are the products I used:

  • Stampin' Up Misty Moonlight cardstock, Vellum, and Basic White
  • Stampin' Up Misty Moonlight ink
  • Stampin' Up Hand-Penned DSP (available May 4th)
  • Stampin' Up Scalloped Contours Dies (available May 4th)
  • Stampin' Up Scripty 3D Embossing Folder
  • Stampin' Up Honey Bee sentiment
  • Stampin' Up Detailed Dragonfly dies

Thanks for stopping by ~ We'd love to have you play along this week!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #109

Hi Friends! Time for a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge board:

I used the 2nd Row Down for my card today: Pink, Baby Theme, and Polka Dots. Perfect for a baby card that I happily needed!

It was a chance to use one of my favorite die sets called 'Bundle of Baby Clothes' from MFT. I die cut the clothes from Waffle Flowers' Polka Dot bright pink card stock. The petite gingham DSP is also from MFT, along with the sentiment from their 'Welcome Baby' stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped with Stampin' Up's Melon Mambo ink and Memento Tuxedo Black, then die cut with Stampin' Up's 'Stitched So Sweetly' dies. I just love those cute little clothes!

We hope you'll play along this week ~ thanks for stopping by!

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #107

Hi Friends! Time for another fun board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

This week I played along with the first row down: Butterfly, Square, and Friend.

I kept it clean and simple to focus on the beautiful butterfly.  I masked off a square and used Distress Oxide inks to blend the background.  I also used a stitched rectangle die to add some interest around the square.  The butterfly was die cut from white cardstock and vellum, adding pearls to the body.

Here are the products I used:
Stampin' Up Basic White cardstock and SU Vellum
SU Brilliant Wings Dies
SU A Touch of Ink (sentiment)
Taylored Expressions Stitched Rectangles
SU Pearl Basic Jewels
Distress Oxides: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, & Broken China

Thanks for stopping by!  We hope you'll pick a row and play along this week!

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #105

Hi Friends! Time to hop on and play with us over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  This board has EASTER written all over it!

Here's my Easter card working with the first row down:  Bunny, Pastel Colors, & Die Cuts

On a mini slimline card base, I popped up a blended sky layer using MFT's cloud stencil.  The sweet bunny from Taylored Expressions was stamped, embossed, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and die cut.  The sentiment was also embossed and popped up.

We hope you'll play along this week!

Thanks for visiting,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #101

Hi there! It's time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and we hope you'll play along!

My card is following the First Row on the diagonal: Cute Critter, Dots, and Hugs/Miss You.

I layered an embossed piece of SU Crumb Cake cardstock onto a piece of SU Real Red.  The embossing was from an older folder from We R Memory Keepers with big dots.  It was one of the first "3D" embossing folders.  The dots are big and bold but didn't photograph too well here so I added little dots to my cute critter's cheeks :) The bear is from the stamp set that came with the December Paper Pumpkin kit and I colored him with SU Blends.  He's holding a little die cut stitched heart from Memory Box.  The sentiment die is from Simon Says Stamp that I just had to have (given the name of my blog :), cut out of Real Red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by...come play with us!

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #099

Hi Friends!  It's time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

For my card, I went with the First Row Diagonal: Pink & Gray, Oval, and Splatters

I layered a piece of SU Whisper White cardstock, splattered with a bit of gray ink and blending, onto a Blushing Bride card base.  The horizontal strip was embossed with SU's Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  After stamping the foliage from Stampin' Up's Forever Fern stamp set with Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride ink, I used the coordinating dies and built my "bouquet." The sentiment is from Gina K. and die cut with MFT stitched ovals and popped up.  I added a few silver confetti sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off the card. I'm loving this color combo!

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you'll play along with us this week!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #097

Happy New Year and welcome back for another fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  Here's the board for this week:

I started with the first row down:  Flowers, Coloring/Ink Blending, and Stencil

I have this new stamp set from Concord & 9th called In Bloom.  As part of their bundle, it comes with the stamp, dies, AND these very cool stencils that you use to fill in the colors on your stamped image.  Since I did not feel like coloring with Copics or any markers (sometimes I just don't :), this set was perfect for my mood.  I used Distress Oxide inks with the stencils to ink blend and it was so fun and not nearly as stressful as "going outside the lines!"  In fact, I had so much fun, I did a second card using the first row across: Flowers, Twine/Ribbon, and Pink:

We hope you'll pick a row and play along this week!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #095

Hello Friends!  It's the last Tic Tac Toe Challenge for 2020.  We'll be back in January to kick off a New Year.  This week we continue to celebrate the holidays with another fun board:

I had a hard time deciding which row to use this time - so many great choices!  Here's the first card using the 2nd row across:  Red, Die Cut & Poinsettia.  I used the Plush Poinsettia DSP from Stampin' Up which is flocked and so pretty on the vellum.

Then I made a second card following the 2nd row down: Bricks, Die Cut & Stocking.  I had left over bits from Stampin' Up's Tag Buffet that worked perfectly for the stocking against a brick embossed layer.

Hope you'll play along with us and that you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  See you in 2021!

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #093

Happy Holidays! Today we have a brand new board for you over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

Lots of fun choices for your holiday cards on this one!  For my DT card, I played along with the first row across: Snowman, Thanks & Embossing Paste

I stamped a piece of Stampin' Up Pool Party cardstock with Pool Party ink using various snowflake stamps from Simon Says Stamp.  On a smaller piece of Pool Party, I stenciled snowflakes using Faber-Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel...so sparkly and fun!  I layered both on a piece of Stampin' Up Real Red cardstock and then on a Neenah Solar White card base.  The stamped and die cut snowman is from an old Stamps of Life set called 'snowman2build.' I paper pieced his gloves and scarf from a scrap of Real Red DSP and added white gel pen highlights.  To finish the card, I heat embossed the Concord & 9th sentiment, die cut a banner, and popped it up.

Thanks "snow much" for stopping by!  I hope you'll find some time during this busy season to play along with us over at TTTC this week.

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #091

Hi Friends! Time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I needed a winter masculine birthday card so I went with the first row across: Bow, Tree/Leaves, Brown.

On a Kraft card base I layered a piece of Ellen Hutson's woodgrain cardstock.  I die cut the layered pinecones and boughs from Stampin' Up's Peaceful Boughs stamps and dies, then popped them all the pinecones and splattered a little "snow."  The card was finished off with a sentiment stamped on Kraft and die cut 3 times for a chipboard look.  I also added the linen thread with a bow up at the top.  I almost forgot the bow part of the challenge!

We hope you'll play along with us this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #087

Hi Friends! It's time for another fun board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I love making Halloween cards so, of course, I had to pick the bottom Scary, Halloween, and Purple row.

I have this scary ghosts die from Tim Holtz in my stash.  It's an old Sizzix Bigz die that I don't think is available any longer but I use it every year.  I die cut the ghosts three times out of white cardstock and layered them together.  I then coated them with Wow's 'Glow in the Dark' embossing powder and heat set a couple of times.  They really do glow in the dark!  The background is a piece of DCWV DSP that I inked up with Distress Oxide Wilted Violet and added tiny star sequins to the sky.  I layered the spookiness on a violet card base and popped up the SSS sentiment.  Boo!

We hope you'll play along this week and maybe get spooky?  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #085

Hi Friends! Here's the new board for this week's challenge over at Tic Tac Toe:

And here's my DT card following the first row down: Pumpkins, Orange, and Fall.

I've had this great fall DSP from DCWV for a very long time and decided to let it do the work for my Thanksgiving card.  It has flecks of gold in it which were hard to photograph but I die cut gold vines for the pumpkins to coordinate.  The Pretty Pumpkins from Sunny Studio are layering stamps that give the pumpkins some fun dimension with three different shades of orange ink. The doily was die cut out of kraft cardstock and the card base is Cajun Craze from Stampin' Up.

We hope you'll play along this week! See you in the gallery!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #083: Fangtastic Halloween

Hello Friends!  Time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge and a brand new board:

I went with the first row on the diagonal: Slimline Card, Splatter, and Green:

I LOVE making Halloween cards, even more so than Christmas.  This is my 2nd Slimline card ever and I have to admit, having the extra "real estate" is fun to play with! I stenciled the clouds with Distress Oxide Twisted Citron because it is my all time favorite green.  The little bats are from a Taylored Expressions set called "Gone Batty." It's an old set but I just love it...more than the bat that decided to sleep inside my patio umbrella...EEEK!  Anyway, I used simple Copic coloring on the bats and after generously splattering with my ink refill, I popped them up.  I added Stampin' Up black star sequins and Glossy Accents on the eyeballs.  Fangtastic!

Please head over to TTTC, check out the other DT member cards, and play along!  We'd love to see you in the gallery.

Hugs,

Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #082

Hi Friends! There's a new board from the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and it's time to pick three and play!

I played along with the third row across:  Die Cuts, Sentiment, & Kraft.

I die cut the Lots of Leaves Cover Up (MFT) out of watercolor cardstock.  I know I'll be using this a lot this fall - love it!  I "smooshed" the leaf frame die cut into various Distress Inks on a piece of acetate (Crackling Campfire, Mustard, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge).  After it dried, I added it to a Kraft card base and splattered with gold metallic paints.  The Thanks die from Altenew was die cut 3 times from Gold cardstock and layered together for a nice thick sentiment.  The gold confetti sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished off the card.

I also want to link this card up to Shopping Our Stash #429: Make a Mess!

My fingers were completely covered with ink after "smooshing" the die cut into all that Distress Ink and water...not once but again after it dried.  So fun but oh so messy!

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you in the gallery!

Hugs,
Annie

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #081

Hello Friends!  Time for a new board over at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge!  This one had me thinking about Fall:

My card is following the third row down: Orange/Rust, Leaf/Leaves, and Plaid.

It all started with a gorgeous piece of plaid DSP from Stampin' Up's Plaid Tidings.  I loved the orange and purple together!  The purple card base was embossed with Renke's Grid embossing folder.  I added the plaid strip and a strip of orange glitter cardstock.  The leaves were created using Stampin' Up's Love of Leaves stamp set and Stitched Leaves dies.  On the stitched vellum oval, I layered the Memory Box Hello die cut with orange cardstock (2) and offset it a bit with a die cut from the orange glitter cardstock.  A few Pretty Pink Posh gold confetti sequins finished off this card.

Thanks for visiting! We hope you'll find some time to play along with us this week!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #080

Hi Friends!  Are you ready to play along with a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge board from Team X?  It's a good one with lots of possibilities!

My card follows the first row across: Stripes, Masculine, and Blue.

I started with a piece of watercolor card and stenciled the wavy lines (stripes) with Distress Inks and a stencil from Simon Says Stamp and then layered it onto a Neenah Solar White card base.  The anchor was die cut 3 times with the 'Anchors Away' die from Spellbinders out of Glimmery Coal cardstock (SSS) and layered on a MFT circle die cut.  The sentiment from MFT's 'You Float My Boat' was heat embossed and tucked under the anchor.  I finished off the card with Waffle Flower Clear Enamel Dots that I colored with a blue Copic.

We hope you'll play along with us over at TTTC this week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Annie
